Unregistered guest, It would have been nice if you had signed in with a username - then I (or others) could email you through praying.org emails.
I would have emailed you the name of a certain well-known preacher/teacher of the Gospel who has traveled the world preaching and teaching the Gospel. His life testimony is only one of countless others that is a powerful witness to the LORD our GOD's power to transform lives... as the Scriptures proclaim; "Nothing Is Impossibe To The Almighty LORD GOD!!!"
In the beginning of this anointed teacher/preacher of the Gospel's ministry he woud go home with his wife and children directly after preaching an anointed message to his congregation... and become violent, striking his wife or children for whatever the incident at the time might have been that triggered him to blow up at one or more of them. This evidently went on for quite sometime.... regardless of how terrible things look, "we walk by faith, not by sight" because the transforming power of our LORD GOD is faithful! The promises of LORD GOD Almighty is faithful!
NOTE: -Now, I'm not suggesting that women or children in abusive relationships need to remain living with their abusers - Not at all! I'm using this paticular case - testimony of this minister of the Gospel, as an extreme comparison from the concerns expressed here by this unregisitered guest for her husband.
The great love of our LORD GOD moving in His wisdom through His power reaching deep into this man's being transformed his entire life, entire heart, soul, and spirit, making him a "new creature in Christ, the old things have passed away, behold! all things have been made new."
An Awesome transformation of a man's life - and yet is not singular or unusual to the countless number of Christians who have experienced their own miraculous transformations through our Almighty LORD.
I, myself, included.
Revelations 12: 11 says "They won the victory over him [the devil and temptation to sin] because of the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony. They didn't love their life so much that they refused to give it up."
Remain in Church, and increase in faith in His faithfulness - learn to lean even closer on our LORD, through prayer - pray without ceasing, believing without wavering, and let Him direct your steps.
"For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you [and your husband] will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus."
(Philippians 1:6)
Amen and Amen
