I know that this may not be a big deal to you, and I know that there are others who are much worse off than I am, but please pray for me.

Where does God want me?
I thought that it was as a nurse, but I have to admit, I absolutely hate the negativity that other nurses put out. I am miserable. I am a new nurse, on my third week, and have met with hostility from other nurses who don't want to answer questions. They have told me that I shouldn't have been allowed to be "on my own" if I had so many questions. But my bosses have put me "on my own" (without a senior nurse guiding my every move). I didn't have any say-so in the matter. Now the other RN is spreading gossip.

I have been made to feel incompetent. I have second-guessed my own abilities and education because of new circumstances and hateful people.

I dread going into work today. I wish I could quit, but I don't have a back-up plan. I need God to help me get through this, or find another job that I can enjoy and look forward to. I genuinely thought that this is where I was supposed to be.

How do you know if it is God or the devil when circumstances are overwhelming?

On a scale of 1-10, my anxiety, fear and dread are about a 9.5. Please help.

May 'invisiblewings' realize, LORD, that blessedness comes when one delights him/herself in Your Word. May 'invisiblewings' meditate on Your Living Word day and night. Keep 'invisiblewings' from walking in the counsel of the ungodly.

May 'invisiblewings' taste and see that You are good, LORD, You have forgive all her transgressions and she is truly blessed indeed. Thank You, for always being there for 'invisiblewings' and for being the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Hebrews 13:8)

Remind 'invisiblewings' that Your sheep hear Your voice and a strangers voice they will not follow. Help 'invisiblewings' to trust in You implicitly. Trust You completely, knowing that You will perfect those things which concern her(or him).

First, I must say, do not be discouraged. My brother is a doctor, and I am in medical engineering - and it is VITAL that nurses ask questions to validate information. The biggest problems arise when nurses misinterpret information. The best nurses can communicate information to the physician and patient the best. I am certain things will change. Many people can be negative, but continue to do what you're doing (I really see no wrongs in what you are doing), and be a light onto the world. You have a profession that can be grueling emotionally, and I think you are hitting it firsthand. Instead of becoming a dark figure like your fellow co's, be a light. Be a shining light to change the atmosphere.

Heavenly Father,
We come to you in prayer that this nurse will gain strength from You. She is experiencing anxiety, fear, and dread - all things you have experienced Lord. You must really know what she is going through. Please let that be a comfort to her; the fact that You, God, are always with her. Please light her path in life, especially at work. Soften the hearts of her co-workers so that they do not hinder the amazing dream and work she has to help others in healing. When times get dark, give her light, Lord. Fill her mind and heart with the holy spirit so that she can be a light that shines Your Name.

Lord, please please help her find her role in life in serving You by serving others. Whether that means finding a new place, persevering with patience, or finding a new path in life, please draw near to her and fill her heart with Hope.
