To all my married Friends who are currently in a "testing" period in your marriage. I just saw a study on married couples this morning and want to share. This is what the study showed. If you are able to get your husband to pray with you together every day for your marriage to survive and last forever, find him and take his hand and pray silently together. Do this every day. If you can encourage him to go to church with you on Sunday and go to the alter for prayer, do it. The results were amazing, accordingt to the university that performed the study. Most of the couples did it as a last resort and didn't think anything was going to change. Results showed almost 100% of marriages were saved and are now fluorishing beautifully...better, stronger, happier. I hope this helps someone. That's all he has to do if he has any desire to stay in the marriage.

Funny you should say that Christian737! As my husband have been praying each night when we end our phone calls. He has been praying that the Lord have his will, and has praised God for our progress! He tells God thank you for the progress that he see's, and that he knows it is going to be forever!!! After he prays I pray. I pray some of the same things, but I also pray Praise for Tom's change of heart. I tell the Lord all the things that I see that are different, and good. I praise God for Tom. I tell God thank you for sending him to me. Finally, Tom is in church each Sunday!!!

***To those who don't know me. Tom has left our marriage three times. He had a heart of stone. Nothing could get his attention, as I tried everything. I came to this website by accident, on my part, but I believe the Lord actually lead me here! I prayed for God's guidance, and his will in my life. Many people prayed this with me, on this site. I was a walking, talking, and bawling mess. Meanwhile, I prayed that Tom be spared, and that he would not go to hell. I hope this testimony will help all those marriages out their, and who are in trouble. I pray for eachone of them!!! Blessings to all!!!

***Thanks Christian for bringing this to light. I never knew any of this study. I had been praying for God's will all along. (Even if it might mean loosing Tom. "Maybe God was testing me, to see if I would put him before Tom". Who knows?) I believe that Tom, and I beginning to pray each night was no accident! I believe this was straight from our Holy Father!!! You bet, i'm gonna keep on praying with, and for my husband! I am going to stay in church too, and encourage Tom too!!!

Father in heaven I pray that you would touch this family and cover them with your spirit. Lord you hold the stars in the heavens and still you make time for us, we praise you. Father be a strength to them and give them the ability to communicate in love and respect for each other. Help them to put you first in everything and trust you for You for direction. In Jesus name, amen.

Whaaaaaat! You failed to share all of this great news with us! I'm still back on your older post, but this is awesome news! Tom is praying on the phone with you????? He's going to services on Sunday, too? WOW!!! GOD is moving fast in your marriage. Did you think all of this would happen in such a short amount of time??

Christian737, I guess I never put much weight into ending our calls with a prayer. Both of us say a prayer, then we say goodnight. I just thought I was continuing to pray that it was going to work, and trying to encourage Tom, through my prayer.

***As far as Tom, he began to thank God for a good phone call, and that he was glad to be talking to me! Tonight, he was praying that we would continue to work out our differences, but then he said this: He said to God please let me know that he was sorry that he did not put the motorcycle in my name.
The signifigance of this was: He had puchased the bike when we were apart before. He had refused to put it in my name when I had found out that he had purchased it. (It should be noted that I had purchased a home before I ever knew him, and it was in both of our names. I stood to loose half of this in a divorce situation.) One of my conditions was that he put it in my name when he came back. (If he was all in, he should not have a problem with this right.) He came back, and kept making excuses not to do it. I knew that they were excuses, as when he left again he said "I had forced him to do it", and was mad! Again, tonight he said he was sorry for putting off putting the bike in my name. (He basically admitted that he had purpiously done it. As when we were together, at that time, I told him that I was concerned that he wasn't doing it because he was not sure if he would stay or not!) This had to be God, as Tom has never admitted doing anything wrong!!!

***Please continue praying for us. We are planning to get back together in mid July. I believe this had to be God!!!
