Dear lord, my heavenly father, I come before you humbled by my situation. Lord, you blessed my marriage with three perfect boys and I will always remember Gabriel almost 4 and the twins Noah and Caleb, 2 1/2 are a blessing, but the devil has scored a point with my husband. I know, I have to divorce him but I have so many conflicting feelings about this. I married him under the covent of you my lord, and through sickness and in health. Would that not include mental health, lord I need closure. I forgive him for all of the domestic violance and can even forgive the arson of our home but will never be able to forget any of this.
I can forgive him and want him well but, I need you to free me form the grip he still has on my heart and mind even through iron walls. I can never be with him again, as husband and wife. Please lord show me that this is your will not mine. I need your guidance as always in this and the raising of my boys.

Dear Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray a vail of comfort and peace to suround this dear lady. I comand that Satan be bound and his word come to no effect. Send your wisdom through your holy spirit to let all know your glory will be revealed. In all things we give you thanks and ask for your blessings to rain down from heaven to prove your love to her. Amen.

Heavenly Father we pray that you open eye's, and doors to what your will is for Katrina. We pray for the children who are hurting, along with this Mother. Give her the patience to make clear decisions, concerning your will. We give thanks that she is couragious enough to ask for your will, in the midst of what may, or may not be, fleshly desires. Surround her with your love, and give her peace!

"I know, I have to divorce him". This statement tells me that you are following YOUR will and not God's Perfect Will. You say you can forgive but not forget. God forgives us and He forgets, then why can't we do the same. This is what we must do. I know it is hard to do this in our natural state. This is why we must do this in our Spiritual realm. With Gods Help we can do this.

Therefore, I will be Praying for God to remove your desire to divorce your husband because of the things he has done. There is nothing that God can't do. He can change your husband and give you a new husband. That is what I will be Praying for. The Holy Spirit can come into your husband and give this husband you need. Katrina: God Bless you. I got your email. I agree with you that you are not the bad guy in this. God is not the author of confusion. The only one that can tell you what you are to do is GOD. I will be Praying that God will guide you through this process. In my previous post I was trying to give some things to think about. This Man is the father of your children and you have to think of them. Your husband needs for God to convict him of what he has done. Bless and comfort this tired soul. I ask of you, please watch over her and her beautiful boys. Keep them safe from harm. Show this woman Your love, grant mercy to her husband, and heal their marriage in the manner in which only You know is best. God bless them all. In Jesus' name I pray.

Thanks for all of your prayers. I am still praying as well for myself, my boys and for my husband. I think he may be away for awhile but I will contiue to keep him in my and my boys prayers.

Hello Katrina, It is so good to finally talk with you. I wanted to say I take no sides and make all attempts to let the Holy Spirit guide my words, thoughts, and deeds for the edification and encouragement of all who come to this site for just that. I agree 100% with ODIE. She isn't taking sides, she is speaking in love and guidance. Our emotions can sometimes be our "worst" enemy. I KNOW you are saying, "Come and talk to me about it after YOUR husband burns down your house and does what MY husband did to me!" Unfortunately, that isn't the way it works, but it would be awesome if you met someone going through that identical same situation. In any event, Katrina, the reason your feeling for your husband won't go away is because GOD designed marriage to succeed and not fail. Satan has come to make your marriage fail. The weapons he is using here is unforgiveness, anger, blame, and judgement. He wants your marraige to fail because he has come to steal, kill, and destroy anything designed and created by GOD. I strongly encourage you, Katrina, to examine everything and to get counselling BEFORE you do something that is IRREVERSIBLE. Weigh all the pros and cons. How will your boys feel if YOU divorce their dad? What I mean by that is how they really feel deep inside of themselves and not what you HEAR them telling you. After all, kids are kids and they don't love one parent MORE...than the other. If you willfully remove their dad from their lives without considering EVERYONE involved, what would they think and feel all through their developmental years. It's not an easy task weighing all of these things, but statistics reveal that it is the mothers and their children that are hit with the heaviest blow after divorce, some even sliding straight into poverty, welfare, Medicaid, food allowances, and free food from the church and it's members. Assess inside of yourself how many men would be a better father to your 3 boys than their own "paternal" father. These are merely a few things you owe it to both yourself and the boys to weigh in the balance. Divorce may be far worse for you and the boys than for your husband. Secondly, there is only ONE GOD, and He is a Spirit. He is not called "mother". Your husband is wrong and that is nowhere to be found in either the OLD or NEW Testament in the bible. That implies that children worship and love their moms, whom GOD created, more than they love the GOD who created them. In essence, it is sheer defiance in the face of GOD Almighty. Teach your children the TRUTH; that there is ONE "true" GOD and He is their 1 and ONLY source. Not any human being. Thirdly, ODIE is saying that we cannot pray AGAINST the will of GOD in favour of our own desires. He KNOWs what is best for us far better than we could ever begin to know. So I am saying all of this to say: Father GOD, In Jesus name, make Katrina's marriage to her husband far better and far stronger than it ever was. Fan the flames of love in her heart for her husband and create a BONFIRE that is so out of control that she has to relent and come back to this marriage and to their family as ONE, just as You, Father, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus Christ, our Saviour are ONE. We ask these things of You, Father, because You said, "There is nothing impossible for ME!"
Be it unto us according to Your Word and our faith. Katrina, you would be an amazing mother, wife and human being if you found it within yourself to forgive what does NOT deserve to be forgiven. But because you are a Child of GOD, I believe the Holy Spirit will guide you in the right path with regard to what you need to do. GOD bless and we love you deeply in Christ, our Redeemer.
