Our Heavenly Father has performed a mighty miracle. Weston, a boy at my child's school, was involved in a horrible gun accident just after Christmas (I first posted here as a car accident, then got more reports and got the whole story). He was on life supports and twice the doctors told his family that he was brain dead. They removed life supports and his parents began making funeral arrangements, expecting him to die within days.

Well, Weston didn't die. In fact, despite all medical explanation, he woke up from what they said was a "vegetative state." His horribly damaged brain began to heal. He got a feeding tube... but then he ate a popsicle. Then take out food. They said his brain was dead, but just weeks later in a rehab facility he now remembers latin prefixes and his favorite football players and he laughs at his parent's mistakes like any "normal" teenager would! He's eating and laughing and moving along at a miraculous pace. And while he has a long road ahead of him, we know that the Lord has brought him this far and will continue to lift him and make him new.

Lord, we praise you and we thank you for the many blessings you've brought to Weston and his family. We ask that you continue to lift them, give them strength, bring them the financial resources to get them through this, and to keep showing them in very real ways the mighty power of your love.

God thank you for giving us the opportunity to share this miracle with others, so that they may be brought to you and have their hearts and minds and lives opened to you by witnessing such miracles through this little boy and his family.

Thank you, Lord. Amen.

I remember your last post, and I thank you for coming back, to share that with us all, as your story touched my heart. I am so happy to hear this, as I was to here the Miracle, that took place in my brother's life. I wrote a blog about it, called True Miracles, if you would like to hear more about it. Protect me from the plans of evil people, and keep me from sudden danger. Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me! For my soul trusts in You; and in the shadow of Your wings I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; for You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety ( Psalm 4:8 ). Thank You for Your promises of protection. "
