Rep Power: 1 | | Because my dear friend, all of us, including me and you, think we are ok with God when everything is well .... and it is not until disaster that we realize that perhaps we were doing everything wrong in regards to Him .... just as an example, how many people have me and you consistently visited who are sick in the hospital or home bound to bring the light of Jesus there? ..... right ..... most likely not until something terrible happens to us to get our attention will we do it .... unless we just obey Him and His Word.

We live in a world of luxury. Most people have a comfort zone that they live in. When this comfort zone is running smoothly, we see not need for God. But let that comfort zone go array or be disrupted we get deseprate. If it goes from bad to worst then we begin to cry out to God for help or say "WHY ME".
If we are Born Again Blood Bought Christians, we would Pray and Seek God in the good times and the bad times. We are to Praise God in all things. We are not to blame God for the bad things that happen to us. God allows suffering sometimes to put us to the test.TESTING OUR FAITH. We become stronger in our Faith in God when we pass this test. Hope this helps you with your point well made.
God Bless you. ODIE

Originally Posted by ritch why does people have to get to their lowest point in life or something bad happens to come to god if people is happy they don't think about god | Hello, Ritch. How are you, Brother. Do I hear a little bit of sadness in your voice? Ritch, GOD is such a mystery that I am even confounded at times by it all. But our happiness is NOT of or in this world, did you know that? GOD tells us to ..."Seek ye FIRST the Kingdom of GOD and His righteousness, and ALL these things will be added unto you." Because GOD's love is unending and never fails, we are incapable of understanding His love versus the kind of love humans have. Human love is for self gain. It seeks out things for itself FIRST, and it isn't really concerned about everyone else. We read a lot about GOD's love. People also sing a lot of songs about GOD's love. People write a bunch of books about GOD's love, and on and on and on and on..........BUUUT, there is only ONE power and ONE book that will help us to understand and KNOW GOD as we travel on this journey called life. That power is the Holy Spirit and that book is called the BIBLE...the revelation of GOD to humans. All the energy we spend reading, singing, writing combined together, far outweighs the time we need to spend alone with GOD and PRAYING. We talk a lot about prayer, but for one to pray an entire hour is a MONUMENTAL task for an overwhelming majority of believers. That is why I am glad to hear from you, Ritch. The Lord is tugging at your heart strings to get you to join us all in a common bond; to know, learn, understand, and LIVE GOD on this short journey of life. We have been blessed to bless others. It's so easy to forget about our blessings and to dwell on everything else. I wanted you to know that GOD created you for His pleasure and His love for You goes far beyond human inellect, logic or reason. We are blessed that His presence is in the world and that He sends other people to us to comfort us and talk with us. Father, we come before Your throne in Jesus name. This is my petition: Please answer the deep questions that Ritch has in his heart about the things that are happening in his life right now and over the past few years, because only YOU know how to answer them, Lord. We ask that You would send Your joy to Ritch to release him from the chains of sadness and depression because You created him, Father. Only You can make that change. We ask that you surround Ritch with You everlasting love to allow everlasting love to flow in his life and into the lives of everyone he comes in contact with. Use Ritch mightily for Your Kingdom and glory. Cause a divine interruption into the daily doldrums of his life and Holy Spirit, create an eternal fire in his bones that he may put GOD FIRST and serve Him all the days of his life. Send Your Blessings to him as we speak. Let ALL be for Your glory and honour, in Jesus name we pray. Amen and Amen. PEACE to you, my Brother. Please come again. I'll be watching for you. |

Rep Power: 1 | | Such a great question? I too, agree with Land of Fire, Odie and Christain737.
I was drawn to this site when I hit a "low" in my life, but I will say, I'm starting to understand more and more about god everyday, and can honestly say that I am here to stay. God is too important. He must be our number 1, and I will work really hard at putting him first. God Bless |

That is so very true. It hits very deeply at our REAL intentions and motivations as bourn again believers. Me, definitely included. What you said in these few lines is extremely PERVASIVE in the Christian world. It has caused me to reassess myself. I always THINK that I would like to get out there and do those things you mentioned, but then I don't. I believe it is a very subtle, undetectable ploy of the enemy. Just as the Apostle Paul said: "Those things I want to do, I do NOT do, and the things I do NOT want to do, I do." Thanks for sharing that with us. |

Rep Power: 1 | | Yes, I am in agreement with you all. The Book of James is one of my favorites and it touches on this topic. Sometimes, we need a "rock" to knock us on the head and fall to our knees in despair before we "see". |

Keep praying and believing. GOD will never forsake us or leave us. He CAN be counted on more than our own blood relatives. Read your bible and try to get into a church near you, OK? You'll find at least one friend there. We love you, Friend. Keep us updated. Love in Christ our Redeemer. |
