i am a new christian. i found myself really interested and ready to learn. the last couple of days i havent been as interested. i am not doing anything bad just afraid that i might not stick with it. lots of bad things have come against me since i decided to be a christian. my life wasnt so great before either. i really do believe and have faith that god can help me but im so afraid right now. i just want to be a good christian. please pray for my strength.

We must remember to cost of following Jesus. I do not want to scare you, but following Jesus entails many difficulties as well, along with the power of prayer, spiritual and at times even material blessings, tremendous joy, and a community through which God will grant you the ability to overcome the difficulties, but not always avoid them.

I have found out that being a christian takes a lot of effort, since satan is at work against us. Yet knowing Jesus is the best thing that has ever happened to me, because no one can comfort me as He can. In my darkest moments i have hang on to Him so tightly until the storm was gone, and i think He is the only one who could bear my hold, because others would simply just drown with me. After some tough trials, He also has granted me some measure of fearlessness and renewed strength, which is received through (continual) reading of scriptures and (continual) prayer and the assembly of believers.

May the Lord grant you perseverance.

I'll be Praying for you and with you. What ever you do don't give up your Faith. We all go thru a growth process in our walk with the Lord. We are like little babies trying to learn to walk. When we fall we get up a try again. This is normal growth process. Read and study the Word Of God. God's Word will be where you draw your Spiritual Growth.
