 Pray for Ashley
Ashley is my 22 year old daughter who is dyslexic,hearing impaired ADD and very confused about who she is. She is currently 4 months pregnant and not sure whether she is coming or going. She has been convinced that she does not need to continue her education and that I am her worst enemy and should not be trusted. She does not seem to be able to use good judgement in the handling of her money and even though she works two jobs she never has enough money for bus fare to work. She is always combative and irrational and expects that my world should revolve around her. She steals from me and others, but cannot see where it is wrong and that she is only hurting herself. She was adopted by me at age 2 months, but never truly accepted by my family because they never accepted me and resented my giving to her what they deemed belonged to their children. I need help in order to be there for her as she constantly lashes out at me. Her self esteem is so low that she has finished junior college, but is not considering going on for a four year degree. I am paying for it, but at 59 I need to be planning for retirement, not withstanding I will continue to work for at least 6 more years.  |
