Default Pray for son

I am asking for prayer for my teenage son. He is almost 17. The other day he came home from a sleep over at a friends house and proceeded to sleep most of the day away. Something told me that he had a rough night. When I asked him about it he said they were just up all night playing video games. I wasn't buying it so I looked on his cell phone and found his text messages and learned that there was some drinking going on. Just teenage stuff, some would say, but he and his friends are all just learning to drive also. NOT A GOOD COMBINATION. I ask for prayer to keep him and his friends safe and to make the right kind of choices. I have always been pretty proud of his choice in friends and he has given me very little trouble over the years.I pray that he will be able to resist the tempataions of giving in to peer pressure and that he and all his friends will all be safe and grow up to be responsible god fearing adults without ever having to experience the pain of burying one of thier friends from sheer foolishness.

Lynda, I pray for your son who is at a cross road in his life. It is so hard parent's to know the dangers of what could happen to your son, and worry about the choices they will make. ***From your son's point of view he is just trying to have fun, and (whether he realizes this or not) he is trying to fit in with his peers. ***I pray that the Lord lead you in all aspects of your intervention. I pray that your son is willing, and open to what you have to say to him. I pray that the Lord will take care of the situation, and have his will. ***It is so difficult to let these teenagers know of the dangers they face when taking part in these activities. I share your worries with you, and you are not alone.
