Hi my name is Marisa I am married with a 2 year old son. My husbend left us a few weeks ago. He said that he could not take all the fighting and yelling. We have been married 4 yrs now. I am vary sad and need help. I want to fix my marriage and dont know what to do. I need all the praying I can get to fix my marriage. I never new how much I loved him untell he walked out. Dear Marisa, i do not think he did anything to you.... rather he was driven away because of the strife and bitterness. I can understand this since i am by nature contentious and do also run into the danger of driving my husband away, the only One who has successfully restrained me is the Holy Spirit Jesus put into my heart....

The only way the Holy Spirit can help you, or anyone, is if you completely surrender your life to the obedience of Jesus and the Word of God (inspite of ourselves), and He will restore your life slowly but surely.

I have found it as a wife, that the following Scriptures have been the most edifying for my marriage:

1 Peter 3:1 In the same way, you wives, be submissive to your own husbands so that even if any of them are disobedient to the word, they may be won without a word by the behavior of their wives, 2 as they observe your chaste and respectful behavior. 3 And let not your adornment be merely external-- braiding the hair, and wearing gold jewelry, or putting on dresses; 4 but let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God. 5 For in this way in former times the holy women also, who hoped in God, used to adorn themselves, being submissive to their own husbands. 6 Thus Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, and you have become her children if you do what is right without being frightened by any fear.

May the Lord grant you wisdom to deny yourself, pick up the cross and choose Jesus.

Marisa, I too, understand what you are going through, my husband left me and my kids 9 months ago. There are good days and bad. The only thing that helps me it prayers. I pray to god everyday for strength so I am not overtaken by the evil that lies above my head. You must believe in our Heavenly Father, because he is here for us. Give this woman the strength, guidance and wisdom she needs to find her way. Protect this marraige from anything that would harm or destroy it.Set it free from past hurts and memories and let there be no thoughts of divorce.
