In my current situation and looking to the Lord for strength and guidance through my prayers I ask for some sign that he hears me and is going to take care of me and my family. I have a lot of people praying for us and asked the Lord in prayer to guide me to scripture that would comfort me and strengthen my faith in him. I was immediatly led to Psalms and have been reading through them each day. Coincidentaly, the past two sermons in Church have been from Psalms. Two weeks ago before the sermon started I sat in the pew and underlined Psalm 23 and then 10 minutes later my Pastor led us to the Psalms. Every prayer warrior that has come to me has said they are not worried about my situation becuase the Lord has given them peace and comfort with the situation. Are these things the signs that I have been praying for from God or am I just trying to be overly hopefull. I to feel a peace that I dont remember ever feeling before when things were bad. Since my situation went bad I a couple of days of anger then depression and now I am admittedly nervous but whenever I start feeling heavy I look up and know God is there and I start to feel better. I have always been a beliver but not very faithfull. I turned to the Lord when things were bad. I pray and ask for your prayers that if I get my job back that I never stop looking to the Lord as I am now. Please provide me with any guidance or answers. Thank You Steve

Dear Steve, i think you are definetely in the right path, and personally i would say that these are signs (meaning God is communicating with you through events)..... and i want to encourage you to make a commitment to Jesus right now that you will from now on put Him continually first. That you will serve Him and will make the necessary effort to be close to Him, through prayer as you do now, consistent scripture reading, going to church, and serving Him. But first and foremost by loving Him with all your heart, mind, strenghts, and means (including your possessions). That you will no longer live for yourself but for Him.

Is it too much to ask? Sooner or later we will have to do it. The sooner the better. Troubles do not go away, however. Yet He grants us His supernatural power to handle them.
