Absolutely, there are people out there that think that way about the mentally challenged, autistic, the hearing impaired, geeks, foreigners, non-English speaking Americans, and anybody that is remotely different from them because they genuinely do NOT have a clue how to interact with them. All of us have a tendency to fear what we do not understand or things we have no knowledge of. The fact of the matter is, they all require far more of our love than the average Joe because they are so fragile and acutely aware of other people's OBVIOUS behaviour toward them. There can be no worse feeling than KNOWING you are treated as if you are invisible because you don't fit into someone else's perception of how THEY want you to be. This is the worst kind of judgement against another human being. This is why I give glory and honour to GOD all of the time and not just in a sanctuary. This is why GOD is my #1 Source and only Source. Human beings need one another, but we see, hear, and read multiple times a day, man's inhumanity to man. Never allow another human being to be your God, because God created us all. Once you put a person, place, or thing on the throne, God becomes 2nd in our lives by mere DEFAULT. Then the things of this world start becoming your God and He begins to fade out into the background. You are so right about the judging and maybe even mocking that your brother faces daily. Remember that God loves him equally as much as anyone else who treats him that way and that God is our Righteous Judge. A day is coming when GOD will judge all of mankind for abusing their FREE WILL. I'm glad you came back, Unregistered. I know you hurt when you see what your brother and family members have to endure because of his autism. God does see, hear, know, and understands every deep secret desire and need in your family's heart.
Heavenly Father, In the name of Jesus, we petition You to send Your Peace like a river flowing into this family. Surround each one with Your unfailing, unconditional, and everlasting love because Your Word says, "Love NEVER fails." Please don't let Your love fail where this family is in so great a need for it. Shower them with blessings and joy that can only come from You. We ask these things of You, Father, because you said, "Call on ME and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you have never seen before." Let all glory and honour be to You and let all that You perform in this family be for Your Kingdom and glory forever. We love you deeply in Christ our King, Friend. Remember: ALL things ARE possible when you BELIEVE.
