I was talking about a lady who died monday that went to our church. I need some help. Does anyone know who or were I can contact about the way the funeral home is treating the family and the body? She did not have insurance and they said they were going to put her in a cardboard box and stick the body in the ground. No viewing funeral or anything. Someone gave the money for a casket and now the funeral home will not release the body to another funeral home, the church or even her husband. Again I need to know who I can contact. Please pray for this whole thing and her family.

You can file a complaint against any funeral home in Georgia by completing the form at the attached link.

It is generally not acceptable for a funeral home to hold a body hostage for payment. They can require payment for services rendered, and allow the body to be released to another funeral home.

The funeral for this lady was Friday. I was not able to go but my husband said it went so good. God was so great. instead of a card board box she got a beautiful casket. There was not way they could get her in the whole and the funeral home we had so many problems with ended up helping and covering the grave. I love how God works.
