Exclamation "Lord, Train Me to Speak Only Words That Bring Life"

" Lord, Your Word says that the preparations of the heart belong to man, but the a answer of the tongue is from the Lord ( Proverbs 16:1 ). I will prepare my heart by being in Your Word every day and obeying Your laws. I will prepare my heart by worshiping You and giving thanks in all things. Fill my heart with love, peace, and joy so that it will flow from my mouth. I pray You would give me the words to say every time I speak. Show me when to speak and when not to. And when I do speak, give me words to say that will bring life and edification and comfort. "

( Proverbs 16:24 )

Let us all think before we speak, and speak words that are His. Blessings to everyone
-Jess

Thumbs up All Good, no Negativity

Good prayer, very true. I wish we all would have the strength to speak His words, and that He would fill our heart's with joy, love, and peace..and the world would change for the better. I hate seeing people fighting as much as I hate arguing and all that comes with it, and so does He. He wants us to live in peace and bring good things to the world and other people, not negativity. God Bless you all- Pray

Does anyone ever need to know what and how to pray for someone who is ill. I have a aquaintance who is suffering from Leukemia and is going through chemo, allergic reaction and weakness, I want to see God make a difference in her life, I know God is able, but do I pray the right prayers, maybe all prayers are right, I cry out for God's healing, for Doctors to make the right decisions, for strength for her and her husband to bear the load they are carrying. For salvation if needed. Yet I feel so inadequate if no one else is praying for this couple my prayers are so important. Any thoughts out there.

Many times we pray, sometimes we may pray the right things, sometimes not. I guess that only God can be the real Judge of that.

***Having said that, I also think it's important to try not to offend anybody, when you deal with them. I hope that I have not offended anyone on this site. If I have please forgive me.

How Terribly I Miss You, Jess and kweig...Praying that all is well with you both.
I was re-reading your post, Jess, about how our words reflect Christ's love IN us and how very careful we must be not to cause anyone to turn our backs on GOD because of what we may inadvertantly say to cause pain and misunderstanding to those who may still be vulnerable from any pain from their past. Though I am not Catholic, I love reading about the thoughts from Pope John Paul II and Mother Teresa. Your prayer reminded me of a prayer I read from Mother Teresa:

Dear Lord, the Great Healer,
I kneel before You, since every perfect gift must come from You. I pray in Jesus name, that You give skill to my hands, clear vision to my mind, and kindness and meekness to my heart. Grant me singleness of purpose, strength to lift up part of the burden of my suffering fellow men, and a true realization of the privilege that is mine. Take from my heart all worldliness, that with the simple faith of a child, I may rely wholly on You. Mother Teresa

Father, in Jesus name, continue to refine me like silver and sift me like wheat that I may be worthy to be called the salt and light of this world in Christ, Jesus. Let the fruit that I bear for Your glory and Your kingdom be a sign to the world of who I am and in Whom it is I serve. I love You, deeply, Father. Please help me to forgive and love my fellow man as You forgave and You love me unconditionally. Above all, never let me lose compassion and love for those who are lost and seeking after You. Thank You. I give You all praise and glory for Who You are, for every good and perfect thing comes from You.
