Land-Of-Fire is on a distinguished road
Default Should Jerusalem, Israel's capital, be divided?

The following is an email i recived from the ACLJ (ACLJ • American Center for Law & Justice). If you wish to support it please visit the click on their website that i just gave.

__________
This is critical. It involves an issue you and I feel very strongly about. So I write to you today urging action.

Stand with the ACLJ immediately by adding your name to our online PETITION FOR A UNITED JERUSALEM. We must send a strong message to our President and to Israeli officials: Peace in the Middle East will not be accomplished at the expense of Jerusalem and the protection of her people!

As I wrote to you just a few days ago, there are some who are pushing for peace by dividing Jerusalem, with part of the Holy City being controlled by the Palestinians - a move that many rightly believe would put Israel at further risk from terrorists.

The pursuit of peace is necessary - but not at the price of dividing this city. The unification of Jerusalem is right both biblically and politically and is best for issues of national security.

It is critical that we maintain our diligence in working to protect Israel's right to exist and their religious freedom.

That is why I urge you to join the ACLJ in our nationwide campaign and add your name to our online PETITION FOR A UNITED JERUSALEM today.

Let me explain why this campaign is so urgent and important:

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas wants a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital. This is not a viable option for the future security of the state of Israel.

Negotiating Jerusalem will not garner peace in the Middle East. In fact, handing control of part of it to the Palestinians would only increase terrorist risk in Israel ... putting already vulnerable Israeli Christians in even greater peril.

The ACLJ and the European Centre for Law and Justice (ECLJ) are also working extensively on this issue to ensure that religious freedom can exist in this region of the world.

Our lawyers are gathering facts and legal arguments to present formally to United Nations representatives in Israel about the plight of Christians in Gaza and the West Bank.

I am personally overseeing this project, along with an outstanding team of ACLJ/ECLJ lawyers in the United States and overseas.

In addition, we have begun legal analysis and will be sending legal memorandums to President Bush, U.S. leadership, and Israeli officials, as well as the United Nations, urging them to resist the pressure to divide Jerusalem.

Add your name to the ACLJ's online PETITION FOR A UNITED JERUSALEM immediately and take action on this urgent issue.

The ACLJ remains uncompromisingly firm that Jerusalem is NOT a bargaining chip to appease terrorists! Keeping Jerusalem out of the hands of the Palestinians and in the rightful ownership of Israel is paramount.

Thanks for your support.
