I need all the prayers I can get!

I am new to the site, but just to let you know a little about myself... I have been ran over 3 times, shot twice, stabbed 6 times, foster care since I was 5, gang bangin' since i was 9, went to prison when i was 16 for 5 years, and have lived the fast life up until 1 week ago! GOD has a great calling on my life, and I am scared that i will let him down! I have known of this calling for several years but I ran from him! now he is letting me know that it is time to stop running and serve him with all that i am! please offer any advice, because i have no friends that are servants of Christ, they are all still in my old life style! I need friends because I am a people person! Most of all i need GOD to bless me because i am starting my life all over but instead of taking care of just myself, i have a girlfriend, a son and a daughter on the way! not to mention no job and no money saved up!

Sounds like you've really done some living. There are believers from every background to every backyard on praying.org - It's a pleasure to welcome you to a site with no judgements. Most everyone here looks forward - not back. I think you're blessed for following what you've felt has been calling you. Congratulations on having a daughter on the way. You' really are in for a life change

You are welcome here 24/7 - there are always good Christian people here praying for each other. You said you were a people person and the first thing that I thought was to find a local Church for worship and support. I've found two good sites for you that has churches in Kansas City. Joshua, I welcome you to this site, and you have found the right one, with the right people. Your life sounds somewhat of my brother, who was in and out of prison, and was around a group of people, who got him into trouble a lot. My brother decided to join a church, in the prison he is in, and has said once he gets out, that he knows he needs to start following God's ways and meet new people, who can help him get his life on a better track. I am happy to hear you have your own family forming, and that is a true blessing. I believe you need to start attending Church, visiting this site, and staying away from old habits and people, who might get you into trouble, because you have to do what is best for yourself, and for your family. Everyone here is more than willing to help you, in any way, and I will be praying for you. God Bless you and we will hear from you soon. Sending my blessings-

Hello Joshua, welcome to God. There is no better place to be. You will be surprised how much things will change when you put God into your life. It happened for me. We all have our share of griefs and tribulations but it just makes it easier when you put your problems on Gods doorstep instead of the ones who don't care. You will also start to see who really cares about you and your family. God will always be there and he will never ask anything more than your faith and love. Not bad huh. You don't have to impress him or pay him. Start going to church with your family and believe me once you find the church that you can call a family then you will find the friends you are looking for. They won't judge they will only be grateful you want to share in the joy of Jesus Christ. God Bless you and your family and have faith that you will find what you need once you start praying to God. I will pray for you that you will be ok and find and find a job before those beautiful babies get here. Just remember, God won't give you more than you can handle. Just do your family a favor and be careful, ha-ha. God Bless and God Speed.

You just ran into a whole bunch of friends right here. We are all very excited to have such an exuberant and motivated believer. Speaking for myself, Brother, I am no different than you. We have ALL been where you are, just variations on the same theme. The Lord has had His eye on you from the moment you were conceived in the womb. All of us get frightened of that and so we have all run from GOD at certain times in our lives, but have returned back to Him. He is the answer to ALL things, Friend. Amazing things are happening in your life, I see. Congratulations!!! You were and still are blessed before your birth; set apart and chosen by GOD to carry out His assignment. Your blessings have already just begun with the babies on the way and a soon to be wife. May I pray for you?
Father, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jsus. We ask that You send Your favour and mercy on Joshua and the family You have blessed him with. Use Joshua and his family mightily for Your glory and Your kingdom. Now, Lord, Joshua needs a good job to take care of the family You blessed him with. We ask in Jesus name that You supernaturally supply him with a very special job with excellent benefits because we know nothing is impossibe if we ask by our faith, believing. We ask and know You have sent the answer on it's way. Be it unto us according to Your promises and our faith. Amen and amen!

Joshua I am so sorry to hear about your struggles. You seem like a very strong individual, I am very glad to hear that your faith is slowly coming back to you. It is with god's help that we will continue to grow within our faith. Just keep praying and know that God is always walking beside you. My prayers are with you.

hi i feel for you,i too have made wrong turns in my life .we must remenber god is a forgiving god.It is us who sometime are not willing to forgive our selfs.
Don't give up what you have done,up till now was eazy,here is the hard part to serve god
and be true to him there is alot of temptations in the world ,but only a few will stand along side of you. your kids,family and if you are lucky your spouse.may god bless you and give you the strenght to have god in you life all of the rest of your life and after.
