Arrow *Reaching for God's Hand in Times of Loss*

" Lord, only You can fill the empty places in the canyon of sorrow that has been left in my heart because of losses I have experienced. Thank You that You are the one constant in my life that can never be lost to me. All else is temporary and changing. I know You are a good God and Your love for me is endless. Help me to cast my whole burden of grief on You and let You carry it. Even though there will be times when it feels like I can't live through the pain, I know You will sustain me." ( Isaiah 9:2 )

This is for everyone who has lost someone or something and has carried a sadness from it ever since. I hope this prayer will help. God Bless

Smile Mans best friend-

When people experience a loss, it is always hard to handle because your constantly thinking of it, even if it occurred months or years from now. I remember when my dog passed away, it was one of the hardest things to get over. I love dogs and I raised my boxer since he was a puppy and he became part of my family. He was more like a person than an animal ( who I never got in arguments with. ) so when it was his time to go, I really missed him and realized how although he was a dog, he was part of my family, and I still think about him today and wish he was still here. Later I ended up buying another dog, and ended up giving it to my mother, and now she is her best-friend. I would just like to say, if anyone out there feels alone or like they don't have any friends, investing in a dog, if you have the time and energy, is well worth it. God Bless

Cool Reply/Lynda's dog

Lynda, I really enjoyed that story about your dog, I had one when I was growing up so I know what you are saying. I would love to have a dog now, since I am at home so much, it is a possibility for me soon. They do become part of your family and have an unconditional love for you. They Forgive, Love, and Respect you. God Bless
