What is the bible's view on body weight/shape? Does God mind if we are fat or thin? I'm giving a talk to a bunch of girls in a couple of week, when I told the organisers of what I was going to talk about (Body Image and Confidence), they thought it wasn't spiritual enough. But I think it is very relevant. My view is that many people suffer and do not fulfil their potential in Christ because they do not like their body shape or weight and this affects how they perceive themselves thus their confidence and approach to life, the people they mingle with and the places they go to. Genesis 1:27 and Psalm 138 tell me God's view. I believe people should see themselves as God sees them and embrace the body God gave them. Any views you have would be most welcome.
