Dear Jess, there is so much truth in this poem. Because i have experienced this truth myself. But regardless of what i may have experienced, long long time ago, a truly righteous man Job experienced it, and Peter also talks about the purpose of and reason for suffering and what our attitudes should be in His letter in 1 Peter.
Knowing that God never makes a mistake,
So whatever He sends they are willing to take.
... and this is a great truth and the most appropriate response respectively.
