If you’re a student of the Old Testament you may remember that Jezebel was the notorious wife of Ahab, king of Israel. Queen Jezebel led King Ahab away from worshipping God to serve the false god Baal. Then, through intimidation and deception, she got Ahab to propagate her idolatrous teaching throughout Israel (1 Kgs 16:31-33; 2 Kgs 9:22).

In the New Testament, Revelation 2:20-23, addressing the Church in Thytiria:
Jesus says, :But I have this against you, that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, and she teaches and leads My bond-servants astray that they commit acts of immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols.
(Keep in mind, Jezebel was killed about 900 hundreds before this)
So the LORD is talking about a type of person (or spirit) such as that of Jezebel in the Old Testament -because that name had become synonymous with wickedness.

Jesus says that this Jezebel ".... she teaches and leads My bond-servants astray, so that they commit acts of immorality." Also, this Jezebel called herself a prophetess but she did Not serve the LORD. Instead, she misled believers. Generally speaking, in our society, nearly all religions make at least a pretense of teaching the values of marriage, family, and faithfulness. But that is changing. What GOD has called an abomination in His Word, some, even in some sectors of religious community, are now calling normal and holy. That was apparently taking place in the Church at Thyatria as well.

The LORD did not approve of this, He said: "I gave her time to repent, and she does not want to repent of her immorality." (Revelation 2:21) This is an important principle, the LORD's judgements are not hasty, He gives time for repentance. But that time has a limit... GOD says that Jezebel will end up on a bed of suffering since her influence has led to the violation of the marriage bed. But she is not the only one who will suffer - so will those who commit adultery with her. (Rev. 2:22-23) It stresses that their deeds of immorality were really the product of her teaching, example, and error.

The result of GOD's looming judgement is then, "all the churches will know that I Am He who searches the minds and hearts."

Jesus closes by stating the biblical principle: "I will give to each of you according to your deeds."

An interesting observation about the church in Ephesus was that it was strong in doctrine but weak in love... whereas, Thytiria was strong in love but weak in doctrine. It's common for churches to be polarized in one of these two extremes. Either they will have full heads and empty hearts, or full hearts and empty minds. Either polarization is deadly. Balance is the key in any church. GOD demands both love and sound doctrine. read 1 Timothy 1:5

Just remember this Jezebel type-'spirit' can imitate anyone - it's about manipulation "witchcraft", one who has to be in control and others must be submissive, under their control. And they have their own self-centered, self-absorbed agendas, they do not have GOD's kingdom in mind. They have there own kingdom in mind.
