I started reading the word about 6 months ago. My sister who became a devout christian about ten years ago was moved to send all 7 of her siblings The Life Application Study Bible when my mother passed. She was moved to do so because she was confident of my father's faith when he passed, as we witnessed him getting up every morning to have his coffee and read the Bible before starting his day.Our mother however, we never knew where she stood. My sister did not want another one of her loved ones to pass without being confident that they were saved. I have tried on many ocassions the read the Bible before, but had the King James version that my father had given me as a child, and found it very difficult to read. I never got past Genesis. I find the one my sister gave much easier to read and the study guides help a great deal. I have developed my fathers habit of getting up very early when the house is quiet, to read. I find great comfort in reading the word and knowing I can talk to Jesus about anything at anytime.
My husband has been a christain since he was 19 but was involved in a church that were false witnesses. They were a cult. As a result many families were torn apart and his own son, daughter and ex-wife as well as himself,have turned away from the church leaving them all ripe for the devils picking. Please pray that God can work through me and touch the lives of these people and bring them back under God's protection. Tom knows better than the way he has been acting lately but is listening to his own voice and not to God's. Please pray the he will re-learn to listen for God's voice and dismis the devils.
