hi grandma carol, I have a story i'd like to share with you and this may put your mind alittle bit at ease. On July 10,1980 a little girl was born 3 months premature at 3lbs 10oz. she was born in a small town hospital and the maturnity wing was sitting next to the intensive care unit, unfortunately for this little baby,her room was sitting next to a women who had come in with an unknown illness at the time-ecoli spinal meningitis- the baby got this disease thru the air and was rushed to the Mayo clinic. Once their she recieved 52 spinal taps and her mother -bless her soul-never left her side. The baby was at this hospital for six months while the docotor's monitored her. One day the doctors told her parents that she was going to die within the next 8 yrs or become mentally challenged. The babies mother told the doctor that they better find a miracle because they would not be leaving til they did, well it turns out that a new drug was in the works for this particular disease. The baby was given the drug. Hi this story is about me. I am now 27 years old happily married and looking to start my own family in a year or so. I have you and your family in my prayers. ambie
